Unit arrived in the usual Amazon fashion...really well packaged. Install took me about 4 hours, but that included running cables back to my Alpine head-unit. Not an install recommended for a person not extremely comfortable with stereo/vehicle modifications. One thing I can say about this unit is how big it is...15.4 inches is bigger than you think! This went in to a full size pickup (f350) and I still think it looks big. With the unit open it completely blocks the view of the driver out the back window, and while I didn't have an issue finding a flat mounting point for it on the truck, I would think you may want to check the vehicle prior to purchase to make sure you have the footprint required. The picture on the unit is decent, but I have seen better in other brands in regards to picture quality. The only complaint I have with the unit is the chassis seems to flex. It is a very strange situation where depending on how the truck is parked, I can have trouble getting the screen to open. It seems the chassis is flexing in certain conditions, and causing the chassis of the unit to pinch the screen in place. I thought it may be the mounting position, but after several attempts to mount it in different positions, I still have the same issue. Wireless headphones are comfortable, and work well. I do not use the DVD player in my setup, so I cannot comment on how it plays other formats like divx.



Overall I would recommend this unit for a full size truck/SUV/VAN but the 15 inch version is too big for most other applications.

Easy to install.

The screen is BIG.



Only drawback is that there are no built-in speakers for audio (headphones only)



You can work around it by connecting the audio out to an FM modulator. That will allow you to use your vehicle's audio system without any additional wiring.

After I tested it for 1 week it just was really hard to make it read DVDs or CDs, whatsoever... The sound quality is not good... Its being 10 months since I bought this one and it went just back to the original box and replaced it with a JVC MP3/WMA receiver... Way better choice!

I bought 2 of this Boss DVD players and it's a fake, it doesn't play most of my cd's, the font display is poor, you can not see anything during the day, the other one I haven't even opened yet, I'm going to sell it cheaper than I bought it, so I can get some of my money back, I had Pioneer before the Boss, I had to buy another of the same. you can imagine how I have spent because of these pice of junk

I've been around car stereos my entire life. At my age, I've seen a lot come and go. In short, if you are looking for a great head unit that performs as well as Alpine, Clarion, Kenwood, Pioneer, etc., then this unit is it. I have this deck in my FJ Cruiser, along with 4 JL Audio 8" woofers, 2 sets of JL Audio components, and 4inch JL Audios in the dash. I am running a Fosgate amp on the woofers, and an Alphasonik amp on the components and dash speakers. My system is as clean and powerful as $10K+ plus systems I've heard. Get this unit - you will enjoy it.

I researched all brands of DVD players for at least two months before deciding on this Panasonic. I know Panasonic is a trusted brand, but I've never used any of their car equipment before. After all the research was done, I narrowed it down to just a few top choices. Then I began hunting for the best price. That was where I hit a few walls. I think having a DVD player in the car is great, but is it worth $800...? Not to me. After I came to the realization that I wasn't willing to pay that much money, my final decision was easy.. the Panasonic. I can't say enough good things about this product. It does everything that all the other top brands do and for half the price!! I know it might be hard to believe, but it's true. If you're in the market for a DVD player, take this one into serious consideration. I've been able to compare the picture quality to the other popular brands and this one is just as clear. The only thing I can warn any one about is that there is no GPS system for this player. Panasonic states they have plans for it in the future, but as far as I know now, there is none yet.



Bottom line, if you want a great DVD player, with out having to spend almost $1000, this is it. Trust me, I'm a research king and there's nothing else out there..

I figured i would get a sub-par product. Overall the cd/dvd player works well and sounds awesome. The video is a bit difficult to see during bright days but it too has overall great resolution. The cd play doesn't skip no matter what disc is in it or how bumpy the road is. It has more features than what is listed and I highly recommend this because it's a bang for the buck. Definitely top of the line product...
